Position Classification is a web-based product that provides user-friendly interfaces and navigation to help you create standardized position descriptions (PDs) using the Federal classification process. Recent, current and accurate PDs lead to better vacancy announcements and better hires.
Robust and flexible, Position Classification guides users through creating classification documents with a step-by-step wizard that helps agencies comply with Office of Personal Management guidelines. This capability also reduces administrative time when building position descriptions, which in turn significantly reduces the overall hiring timeline.
Agencies are able to get up and running quickly with our PD Starter Set, which includes over 300 PDs across 109 titles. Agencies can easily edit and adapt the reference data to their mission requirements.
The application provides automated workflow management for collaboration and approval; a reference library of standard PDs; and an archive of previously created PDs. It also includes audit capabilities by logging actions performed through the PD creation and approval process, and includes permission-driven access for security and efficient collaboration.
